Daivik’s Organic Mustard seeds are globular in shape, odorless with a pungent taste. They have a creamy texture when ground and added gives a spicy flavor to the dishes. The seeds are high in essential oils as well as plant sterols. Some of the essential sterols found in mustard seeds are brassicasterol, campesterol, sitosterol, avenasterol, and stigmasterol. It also contains some of the glucosinolate and fatty acids such as sinigrin, myrosin, erucic, eicosanoic, oleic, and palmitic acids. Mustard seeds are enriched with essentialB-complex vitamins such as folates, niacin, thiamin, riboflavin, pyridoxine (vitaminB-6) and pantothenic acid. They help in replenishing the functions of inner vital organs and help in enzyme synthesis, nervous system functioning. 

Usage :

Mustard seeds are added in stir fry along with other ingredients to give an enhanced flavor to the dish. It is also fried and added in curries, pickles and other vegetable fries. Mustard seeds are ground into paste for making mustard sauce and condiments. It is also used as a medicine to treat common cold, joint pains and in water retention.
