It is rich in antioxidants that are responsible for fighting the damage and unstable molecules that are released during cellular oxidation. It has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that kill germs and reduce inflammation and other digestive ailments. It can be used in cooking for deep frying, stir frying or simply can be added to salads to enhance the taste. Gingelly oil has several phenols such as tocophenol, pinoresinol, sesamin and sesamol that keep the skin supple, soft and hydrated.
