Usage :
White grams are preferably soaked for four to five hours before using it. It is used for making batter in combination with rice and fenugreek in making relishing fluffy idlis, crisping vadas and dosas which are often fondly called as the “Twin brothers of Morning Tiffin”. It is also used in chutneys, podis and other preparations during the seasoning and garnishing to add a bit an extra crunchiness to every bite.
