Daivik’s Organic Corn Flour is a white gluten free flour obtained from the maize. The maize is soaked in water and lime solution and then it is cooked, drained. The cooked maize is then ground into a dough which is dried and made into corn flour. It is a very versatile flour and can be used in combination with other flours for baking. It is widely used as a blender, filler and thickener in pastries, cookies and in meat delicacies. It contains antioxidants that prevent chronic diseases and aids efficient functioning of body metabolism. It comprises of cellulose, amylose, hemicellulose and lignin which are insoluble fibers that greatly eases digestive ailments.

Usage:

Corn flour has a diverse range of uses and is used as a binder, filler and thickener. Its is more than often used as breading for fried items to bring the crispness and crunchy texture. It can also be used for baking cakes, muffins and in the preparation of halwa because of its thick consistency.
